Auckland Surgical Centre
This private hospital has been providing quality, professional care since 1987, when it opened as New Zealand’s first purpose-built, day-stay surgical hospital. 1996 saw the hospital expand to accommodate 4 operating theatres, stage one recovery room, day-stay recovery room, and a 10-bed overnight stay facility.

The hospital employs a caring,well-trained and experienced staff of around 90 and provides services to around 6000 patients each year, covering a wide range of surgical services, and excellent post-operative care.
Auckland Surgical Centre became a Quality Health New Zealand accredited facility in February 2005, recognising the quality of healthcare delivered, and the commitment to continuous improvement. This is demonstrated by achievement of standards, and continuous quality improvement in care, service and safety.
Owned by shareholders since its establishment, Auckland Surgical Centre became a part of the Southern Cross Hospitals network in February 2005.
