Investing in quality

At Auckland Surgical Centre our promise is a quality-driven service. We deliver quality care, not only to Southern Cross members, but also to patients with other forms of private insurance cover.  Increasingly, we provide services to those choosing to fund their surgery themselves, and to patients being funded by ACC and other public funding arrangements.

 Whilst in Auckland Surgical Centre, this is what our patients can expect:

• Following surgery, patients are transferred to stage one recovery, where they will be cared for by experienced, professional nurses using modern equipment.
• Day-stay patients will be transferred from here to the day-stay recovery room, where they can relax in a La-Z-Boy chair and enjoy light refreshments.
• Overnight stay patients will be transferred from stage one to their room on the ward. Facilities include ensuite, telephone, NZ Herald, television and Sky TV. Quality meals are provided, and special dietary requirements can be catered for on request.
• Ward visiting hours are flexible, but we ask that visitors leave by 8pm.
• The staff at Auckland Surgical Centre strive to provide quality, professional care to all our patients. We welcome comments, complaints, compliments or suggestions which will help us to continue meeting the needs of our patients and their families.
