Southern Cross Hospital in Christchurch currently has 87 inpatient beds, including those in its new high dependancy ward. The hospital now has 8 operating theatres, including 2 high technology digital theatres - one equipped with systems enabling robotically-assisted surgery.
Facilities on the hospital site also include advanced scanning technologies and a purpose built endoscopy centre operated in partnership with a leading group of medical specialists. About 40% of patients at our Christchurch hospital are admitted for day-stay surgery, and around 60% stay one or more nights. |
