| Southern Cross Hospital Invercargill is widely known and used by people throughout the Southland and the Queenstown-Wakatipu basin areas. It provides services to around 3,000 patients annually, has 25 in-patient beds and a day surgery unit accommodating up to 16 patients per session.
The hospital was originally established in 1919. It was bequeathed to Southern Cross in 1992 and a new hospital was built and completed in August 1994. The hospital is a top class facility in a very pleasant inner city location opposite the Queens Park and Southland Museum.
The hospital offers patients quality care and features comfortable patient rooms, and pleasant grounds and gardens which are available to them during their recuperation.
