| Established in 1983, Southern Cross' hospital in the Taranaki region has been extensively modernised and features advanced theatres and comfortable patient facilities. It currently has 32 in-patient beds, and a day-stay facility that caters for 9 patients at any time. Southern Cross Hospital, New Plymouth typically provides services to around 3500 patients each year.
