Whether you visit us as a day-stay patient, or stay longer, you can be assured of comfort, privacy and expert medical and nursing care.

Children enjoy a bright, fun playroom and extra conveniences are provided for families.  Our hospital also has consulting rooms to complement its existing facilities - operating theatres, a procedure room, recovery room and a 6-chair day stay unit.

Here's what you can expect from Southern Cross Hospital Palmerston North:

• Rooms for overnight stay are fresh and modern, with an ensuite, television, radio and tea/coffee making facilities to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
• We have a modern day-stay facility for those who do not require staying overnight.
• We have a professional nursing team focused on providing a high standard of care and comfort during your stay.
• We provide nourishing, quality meals for overnight patients and can cater for special dietary requirements on request. We can also arrange visitor meals for a reasonable charge, if requested early in the day.
• We deliver complimentary daily newspapers on request.
• Visitors are welcome at any time during the day and early evening but special arrangements can be made at your request. Please let us know if we can support you in limiting your visitors. We aim to ensure a restful and private environment for all our patients.
• Ample visitor parking.
• Extensive gardens and grounds surround the hospital, providing a tranquil environment for recovery.
