Southern Cross Hospital Wellington is a modern, purpose-built, private surgical facility, and part of our national network of wholly owned facilities and joint venture hospitals. It was established in 1992 to meet the needs of the greater Wellington region, and has undergone major additions since its original design, including a specialist centre used for consultations and, more recently, the commissioning of a third operating theatre.
A large number of surgical and medical specialists work at our site, offering a wide range of elective surgical services, including orthopaedic surgery, urology, ophthalmology, oral and maxillofacial surgery, otolaryngology (ENT), gynaecology, general surgery, vascular surgery, plastic, reconstructive and cosmetic surgery and paediatric surgery.
As demand for these services grows, we continue to invest in our facilities to ensure that we respond to the needs of specialists and patients in the greater Wellington region and beyond.
