Southern Cross Hospital Rotorua is a modern surgical hospital serving the local community and greater Bay of Plenty region

This leading private hospital has been providing quality, professional care since 1987, when it opened as New Zealand’s first purpose-built short stay surgical hospital. The hospital employs a caring, experienced staff of around 90, providing services and excellent post-operative care to around 6,000 patients each year, across a range of surgical specialties.

We provide nourishing, quality meals for overnight patients and can cater for special dietary requirements on request.

Our Rooms

Rooms for overnight stay are air conditioned and have an ensuite, television, telephone, refrigerator, radio and tea/coffee making facilities.

We have a professional nursing team focused on providing a high standard of care and comfort during your stay.

Visitors

Visiting hours are normally 11.00am to 8.00pm, but special arrangements can be made at your request.
