Dr Michelle Wong is an Otorhinolaryngologist, this is a specialist who deals with diseases and surgery of the Ear, Nose and Throat. She is a Consultant at Auckland City Hospital and a Senior Lecturer at Auckland Medical School.

Although Dr Michelle Wong is a Kiwi and graduated from Auckland Medical School, her post-graduate and specialist training was in the highly competitive Sydney, Australia and Oxford, UK. She returned to New Zealand in 2010 to take a post as an Otolaryngologist at Auckland Hospital. She also has a private practice in Central Auckland and North Shore.

Dr Michelle Wong has specialist interest in diseases of the ear and general ENT. This includes childhood ear and hearing problems, surgery for ear infections, cholesteatoma, problems with the bones of hearing, otosclerosis Eustachian tube problems and balance. Her general scope of practice includes general childhood ENT problems, nasal diseases and surgery.

Since her return she has introduced endoscopic and laser middle ear surgery to Auckland. She has also introduced the first complete integrated diagnostic, testing and rehabilitation balance centre in New Zealand.

Dr Michelle Wong is actively involved in training and supervision of medical students and doctors. She is passionate about providing a world class service in Auckland.
