I was born in Ukraine and did my medical training at the University of Odessa. I completed my specialist obstetrics and gynaecology training in Nikolayev, Ukraine. My training included a Diploma in Endocrinology in Gynaecology.
I worked as a consultant in Nikolayev, Ukraine for 6 years before moving to New Zealand in 1996. Since then I have obtained the Australian and New Zealand Fellowship in obstetrics and gynaecology. I have been a consultant at National Women’s hospital since 2002.
